Food for Kids Food for Kids is a collaborative effort between Second Harvest and your child’s school. The program is designed to provide healthy, easily-prepared food to children who may be missing meals on a regular basis. These children are discreetly given a backpack full of food for themselves (and any siblings they may have at home) every Friday throughout the school year. Please contact your child’s school counselor or our social worker, Amanda Greenwood (amanda.greenwood@knoxschools.org) for more information.

Shoes for Kids Cedar Bluff Elementary is able to offer families shoes or shoe vouchers through a generous partnership with local churches and the Elks Lodge. Children can get one pair of shoes per semester. If your child is in need of shoes, please notify your child’s teacher or school counselor for more information. 

Knox County Schools Clothing Resource Center The Clothing Resource Center helps provide Knox County students in need with gently used or new clothing. Please contact our school social worker, Amanda Greenwood, for more information. You can email her at amanda.greenwood@knoxschools.org 

Vine Health Clinic The Vine School Health Center is a full-service pediatric clinic located in the Vine Middle Magnet School in Knoxville, TN. They offer health and mental health care as well as psychoeducational services such as educational assessment and targeted interventions. These services are available by appointment for all Knox County students. Most services are available at reduced cost to the families of the student based on a generous fee sliding scale. Mobile Crisis Unit Hotline - 865-539-2409

Mobile Crisis Unit (MCU) provides a 24-hour crisis response system for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The program provides assessments, triage, and access to appropriate levels of care.

Erin's Law

Requires that all public schools in TN implement a prevention-oriented child sexual abuse program which teaches students in Pre-K-12th grade age-appropriate techniques to recognize child sexual abuse and tell a trusted adult and parents/guardians the warning signs of child sexual abuse, plus needed assistance, referral or resource information to support sexually abused children and their families.
